Picking Operative

A warehouse picking operative plays a crucial role in the logistics and supply chain of a warehouse. Their primary responsibility is to accurately and efficiently select stock from the warehouse inventory to fulfil store deliveries.

You’ll be on your feet all the time using a handheld device to achieve set targets. As well as picking stock, you’ll package and prepare goods for shipping, all the while ensuring goods are stacked safely so they arrive at our stores in perfect condition.

Goods-Out Assistant

You’ll use a forklift truck to move stock onto lorries ready for delivery, as well as sort pallets into correct locations within the warehouse. You’ll be required to check paperwork is correct for each pallet of stock to avoid inaccuracies in stock levels.

You will be required to have forklift truck experience for this role.

Delivery Driver

A delivery driver plays a crucial role in the logistics and supply chain management of our business. They are responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of goods from the warehouse to designated locations.

You will need to plan the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while minimising fuel consumption and wear and tear on the vehicle. Drivers need to conduct routine inspections of their vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, including checking tyre pressure, fluid levels, and brakes.

Upon reaching the destination, you’ll unload the goods and may assist in moving them to the specified location at the delivery site.

Web Store Assistant Manager

As web store assistant manager, you’ll play a key role in the online retail industry, responsible for assisting in the management and operations of our e-commerce platforms. Your duties encompass a wide range of tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of our online stores and to provide an excellent customer experience.

You will manage the webshop assistants’ workloads, rotas and approve holiday requests, prioritise the despatch of orders so they are delivered on time and manage the inventory replenishment levels, warehouse space management and perform stocktaking.

Communication is vital in this role as you will need to proactively communicate with internal teams to resolve any issues to an exceptional standard, as well as , chase third-party suppliers for despatch updates and liaise with couriers to arrange collections.

You will interact with a wide aspect of colleagues, up to director level, with regular contact with store and security colleagues, as well as the buying, IT and human resources departments.

You will be required to maintain great working relationships with delivery drivers and suppliers

In the manager’s absence, you will assume the responsibility of the distribution centre.
