Shoppers Flock to QD’s New Holbeach Store Whilst many retailers are being forced to scale down their businesses, QD Stores is having to widen the aisles in its brand new Holbeach store in order to accommodate the many customers attracted to the store since its opening on 16th February. Shoppers were out in force, all hoping to bag an early bargain following the store's official opening by Councillor Howard Johnson. Indeed footfall has so far exceeded expectations resulting in necessary adjustments to the store's layout to cater for higher customer numbers. QD's Marketing Operations Manager, Alan Hatcher, who attended the opening, is delighted by the public's enthusiastic response to their new QD store, which is the first of the Group's compact format outlets. "We're offering the same quality brands and great offers on household names as in all our other stores, but on a slightly smaller scale. The first week of trading has proved to be such a tremendous success that we are currently expanding the width of the aisles to improve customer flow. As experience in other locations shows, the presence of a QD store tends to increase town centre trade generally and I'm sure Holbeach will be no exception."
