QD's Boston Store Cuts Queues
Customers at QD's Boston store can now check out much faster once they have completed their shopping thanks to a newly implemented single queuing system. In a move to reduce waiting times at busy periods, and for added convenience, a smart new bank of tills has replaced the lines of individual check outs. The redesign has also brought additional benefits to customers. Store Manager, Leon Greogori, confirmed that customer feedback had been extremely positive since the new system was introduced. "The single queuing system is proving much more efficient and has significantly reduced the check out time for our customers. Speedy transactions are particularly important for people shopping during their lunch hour who want to complete their purchases as quickly as possible. We're definitely seeing much faster customer flow through the tills now." QD's Boston store recently celebrated its first anniversary since opening in the summer of 2009. Building upon its successful year of trading, the store has undergone a number of enhancements to extend the range of products and give customers added choice. The creation of extra floor space has led to a much wider selection of furniture, soft furnishings and interior decorating tools, along with the introduction of larger display areas for popular lines such as groceries and gardening. Meanwhile the plant centre itself now boasts colourful hanging baskets and autumn planting for the coming season, plus new ranges of garden ornaments and water features. Speaking from QD's head office in Norwich, Marketing Operations Manager, Alan Hatcher, confirmed that QD is proving a popular shopping destination in the Boston area. He said that the company carries out a regular review of procedures and layouts across all its stores to ensure customers receive the very best levels of customer service. Further brands within the group include the Cherry Lane chain of garden centres, Lathams of Potter Heigham on the Norfolk Broads, and the Buyright Superstore in Hadleigh, Suffolk. continues to go from strength to strength and has recently been listed among the top 75 retail businesses in the Eastern Daily Press Business Guide 2010.
