QD Stores in Kettering Celebrates its 1st Anniversary with In-Store Competition
QD Stores in Kettering has become an increasingly popular shopping destination in the town since it first opened its doors 12 months ago. To celebrate the store's 1st anniversary, QD is inviting customers to take part in a competition giving them the chance to win £50 worth of shopping vouchers. Customers are being asked to guess the total number of 1kg bags of Tate and Lyle sugar sold in the store over the past 12 months. At just 66p per bag, sugar ranks highly amongst QD's best-selling items. Prize vouchers can be spent at any of QD's high street stores, or further afield at any branch of Cherry Lane Garden Centres, the Buyright superstore located in Hadleigh, Suffolk, or at Lathams on the Norfolk Broads. Store Manager, Cheryl Barnes, is keen to mark the 1st anniversary by involving her store's customers. "My team and I are delighted with the rapport we've built up with so many of our regular customers. The addition of our popular plant centre has brought many more people into the town to shop and we're proud to be able to offer such a vast range of quality items under one roof. Given QD's low prices, our competition winner is going to enjoy a bumper shopping spree in the run-up to Christmas." Customers are invited to post their estimate and contact details in the in-store post box; the winner will be presented with their gift vouchers at the store by Cheryl Barnes. The competition runs from Saturday, 16th October until close of business on Sunday, 24th October.
The Kettering store became the sixth in a string of QD high street outlets to open in 2009. The retail group, which also owns the Cherry Lane chain of garden centres, Lathams of Potter Heigham and the Buyright Superstore in Hadleigh, Suffolk, continues to go from strength to strength and has recently been listed among the top 75 retail businesses in the Eastern Daily Press Business Guide 2010.
