QD Stores in Lowestoft Announces its 1st Anniversary Competition Prize Winner
The lucky winner of QD Stores' 1st anniversary competition in Lowestoft recently visited the store to collect her prize shopping vouchers from Store Manager, Harry Ketchell. Mrs Sarah Forster, pictured below, won the store's "sugar sales" competition by estimating that 21,424 bags of sugar had been sold by QD's Lowestoft store in the twelve months since opening. The actual figure was 21,148 bags. Store Manager, Harry Ketchell, was delighted to present Mrs Forster with her prize. "The competition has been a great success and has prompted some friendly rivalry between customers as they calculated our sugar sales. I think everyone has been surprised by the total and are impressed how close Mrs Forster came to the actual figure." Mrs Forster, who shops regularly for her family at QD, plans to put her shopping vouchers towards a set of bunkbeds. The Lowestoft store became the seventh in a string of QD high street outlets to open in 2009. The retail group, which also owns the Cherry Lane chain of garden centres, Lathams of Potter Heigham and the Buyright Superstore in Hadleigh, Suffolk, continues to go from strength to strength and has recently been listed among the top 75 retail businesses in the Eastern Daily Press Business Guide 2010.
QD Stores recently launched a new website giving more customers on-line access to 250 of its best-selling products. It has just been rated Best New Website by Web User Magazine.
