It is important to the QD Group that we not only fulfil our legal requirements in accordance with section 54(2) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (Transparency in the Supply Chain) Regulations 2015, but we also have the belief that we would like to have a positive social impact within the communities in which our business operates.
We recognise that modern slavery is a globally growing issue that exists in all economies and business sectors. It can take many forms; servitude, human trafficking, forced labour and slavery.
The QD Group will not tolerate any form of modern slavery and we have committed ourselves to act ethically and with integrity. We have introduced effective controls to prevent any form of modern slavery from taking place within our business and supply chain.
Our Code of Conduct reflects our values and our stance which prohibits slavery, child labour, forced labour and human trafficking of any kind in relation to our business and our supply chain.
Our assessment programme requires our suppliers to provide details of their organisation and factories ensuring that they are assessed by them to ensure that they comply with our Code of Conduct.
The event of a suspected failure by the supplier to comply with our Code of Conduct will result in an investigation into the circumstances of the breach.
If a breach is proven, then the business will instruct the supplier on what appropriate remedial action should be taken. We would then determine whether our trading relationship with the supplier should be monitored, suspended or terminated.
This statement is approved by the Board of Directors of the QD Group.
