Outbound Department Manager

We are looking for a proactive and organised Outbound Department Manager to lead and manage all outbound operations within the Distribution Centre.

You will be ensuring efficient picking, accurate order fulfilment, and timely delivery to stores. The role focuses on driving productivity, maintaining high operational standards, and leading a motivated, high performing team. Main duties include:

• Lead all outbound operations, including picking, packing, and dispatch
• Ensure accurate order fulfilment and strong stock control through the picking system
• Drive team performance through coaching, feedback, and clear targets
• Manage courier and delivery operations to ensure efficient store supply
• Oversee yard operations, safety, and cleanliness standards
• Monitor KPIs including productivity, service levels, and engagement
• Support workforce planning, holiday management, and team development
• Champion health & safety and ensure full compliance across the department
• Work closely with other departments to resolve issues and improve flow
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service

The perfect candidate will have experience in warehouse, logistics, or fast-paced operational leadership. They will also have strong management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams, as well as being organised, proactive, and has excellent communication and problem solving skills.

A forklift licence, First-Aid qualifications, and management/logistics experience is desirable.

This is a full-time position working a minimum of 40 hours per week, based at our Snetterton Distribution Centre (with flexibility to work at other locations if the business requires).
