QD Stores in Bishop’s Stortford Announces its 1st Anniversary Competition Prize Winner
The lucky winner of QD Stores' 1st anniversary competition in Bishop's Stortford recently visited the store to collect her prize of shopping vouchers from Store Manager, Leon Gregori. Mrs Patricia Orme, pictured below with Leon, won the store's "sugar sales" competition by estimating that 8,294 bags of sugar had been sold by QD's Bishop's Stortford store in the twelve months since opening. The actual figure was 15,143 bags. Store Manager, Leon Gregori, was delighted to present Mrs Orme with her prize and commented "Congratulations to a lovely lady who told me that she really enjoys shopping in the store. I thank Mrs Orme for her custom and hope she has fun spending her prize vouchers." Mrs Orme, who shops regularly at QD, plans to spend her shopping vouchers on DIY goods. The Bishop's Stortford store became the eighth in a string of QD high street outlets to open in 2009. The retail group, which also owns the Cherry Lane chain of garden centres, Lathams of Potter Heigham and the Buyright Superstore in Hadleigh, Suffolk, continues to go from strength to strength and has recently been listed among the top 75 retail businesses in the Eastern Daily Press Business Guide 2010.
QD Stores recently launched a new website giving more customers on-line access to 250 of its best-selling products. It has just been rated Best New Website by Web User Magazine.
